| THE RAW BEST OF SHOW - Design in Process is Rough
Overall the show was decent, despite the budget of the school "roll eyes" Couldn't afford a better venue so we had the show in one of it's better buildings. Let me tell you the display was along side a dinky little hall way which isn't very large to begin with, now imagine it filled with about 100+ students plus family, friends and faculty members. Not to mention the tables that were set up along the sides for finger foods and warm water. LOL yes I said warm water, the ventilation was horrible, the hall way was hot and no air. The lone bright spot was at the corner of the hallway, which had an open door with the coldest breeze you can find, but that was soon invaded by the rest who knew about it, but hey we discovered it first.
6pm to 7pm mostly fought for positions and spots to stand while checking out the works of my fellow classmates and greeting everyone, by seven we were in the lecture hall, to hear Tom Dorrestejin give a lecture on his studio dumbar, the work was decent the lecture was decent, the understanding was a bit hard and the ghetto projectors was beyond ghetto. Keep in mind how hot the whole hallway, lecture hall was, someone actually fainted when the awards ceremony was hold back so 911 was called. Never did got a word on her, but hope she makes a quick recovery. Nonetheless the awards were handed out and by 9 we were parted ways before the ONEUP lounge party. Yours truly got an award for the Dean's List so I guess I'm happy about that LOL.
Myself and four of my buddies, we were hungry so we drove to China Town to eat, soon after that we crashed an after house party at a buddies, she invited us so we all came over for some pre-drinking.
Off to OneUp lounge which was only five minutes away from where she lived off Dundas and Bay so we got there around 12am, met up with everyone and the rest was pretty much history. I'm gonna miss a lot of people, it was nice to see EVERYONE out one last time. A night full of Pictures, Drinks, Drunken professors, friends and classmates was all worth it. |
